 That A-Hole Who Writes Amazon Reviews Aug 05, 2012

Yeah, Todd Barry may not mince words about people who write Amazon reviews on the track "Gray Shirt Story" but that doesn't mean I love him enough to write an Amazon review anyway.
I love his stuff, always have. This is coming from someone who likes Steven Write, Mitch Hedberg, Nick Thune and of course Zach Galifianakis. I like many more comedians, but I listed the ones I think are close enough to Todd style that I can say if you like these guys, you'll like Todd Barry.
The main comedic style of Todd Barry is to talk about ordinary life situations and then analyze the story using funnier and funnier analogies to illustrate how ridiculous the seemingly mundane moment in his life really was. In "Hot Travel Tips" Todd talks about a tip he received from a friend that was basically illegal - not exactly a real hot tip.
In "Never Been To Prison" he discusses how relaxed prisons in Belgium are and goes into what he thinks the prisons must say to the inmates because of this.
I'm talking about this CD without any sense of humor in my review. So I'm sure I'm making the CD sound boring - it's not. That's the magic of Todd Barry. Taking normal day thoughts that many of you may have had yourself and finds way to make you look at them that are so hilarious, you can't wait to hear more from him. And you begin thinking about his humor in your own situations.
And he's not a comedian that screams or get's very physical on stage, so as an audio-only experience, it's really enjoyable to sit back and laugh too. And I love the riffing with the audience he does as well.
No boring moment in the CD! It's all fantastic, really. My boring sounding examples aside - check this album out. If you like ones sample from this CD, you'll like all of it.

He has a dry and intelligent wit and humor about him.
I also enjoy his unique delivery style.

If you know Todd Barry then you know what to expect. Very, very funny stuff in his familiar sense of humor and delivery. I would definitely recommend picking this album up (and there's no visual bits so the album is just as good as the DVD)
