| | Description | John Pinette has been entertaining audiences around the world in a variety of ways for over fifteen years, but it is making people laugh that John enjoys most of all. He was named Stand-Up Comedian of the Year by the American Comedy Awards in 1999 and has received a Gemini Award nomination for his superb televised performance at The Montreal Comedy Festival in 2000.
Born just outside of Boston, Massachusetts, John has always had a gift for making people laugh. When he learned that he could actually make a living for doing so, John left behind his life as an accountant and began his comedy career. It wasn't long before he was touring comedy clubs around the country. Shortly thereafter, John got his big break when he was asked to tour with Frank Sinatra. Since then he has become a regular guest on The Tonight Show and The View.
John has also enjoyed a long acting career in both television and film. Duets (starring Gwyneth Paltrow), Dear God (starring Greg Kinnear) and Junior (starring Arnold Schwarzenegger) are just a few of John's film credits. He was a series regular on the hit series Parker Lewis Can't Lose, and starred as the car-jack victim in the final episode of Seinfeld. John is the lovable Mr. Bumpo in The Punisher starring Thomas Jane and John Travolta. | |

Better days behind him? Oct 15, 2011
By J. E. Romeo Some new material, some rehashed stuff... a bit angry. I am not one of those people that is "shocked" by hearing foul language, though it does seem and sound odd coming from John... but this is by far not his best work. I dunno, maybe he is just changing, and that is fine. It is his prerogative to do so. But until this "tranformation" is complete, it is sure going to turn some people off.
He seems and sounds bitter. And horse. Health issues? (He mentions going to see a cardiologist at one point). I will have to watch the video version to see if he looks any different, but he certainly sound different. And this scruff sounding, bitter, cursing John doesn't get to use phrases like, "my cherub like demeanor" because it simply doesn't fit any longer.
Is it awful? No. But if you are trying to decide between this and one of the earlier albums... Go with the earlier work.
John Pinette is funny! Jun 14, 2013
By M.M. John Pinette is a funny man. If this is your first John Pinette CD I recommend some of his earlier stuff. This CD is not his best stuff, but if you are a fan of Johns, you will like it. This CD is another quality performance in the funnyman's career. See him in person and you won't regret it.
Excellent comedy Jun 02, 2013
By Washington Irving I'm very happy to add this album to my growing collection of comedy albums. I would certainly recommend this to my friends and family. John Pinette's jokes are funny without being crude which I always appreciate.
A fun time Mar 23, 2013
By Dennis Dillon John Pinette is a funny comedian. This is well worth the time to listen to and money to acquire. His routines are hilarious.
Funny but not expecting some explicit language Feb 09, 2013
By Troy Herzog I think John Pinette is one of the funniest guys and I enjoy listening to. Since I've typically heard his stuff on PG Comedy Chanel on Pandora I was surprised to hear some fairly vulgar language which I found brought the quality of the performance down.
