| | Description | Hello, children! Are you ready to join Chef for some game-show fun, South Park-style? No, don't let the name fool you. This game isn't about, in Chef's words, the "mattress mambo." It's a multiplayer party game for up to four contestants, crammed full of trivia contests and South Park-themed mini-games. Playing as Cartman, Kenny, Kyle, or Stan on Chef's game show, contestants must dig deep into their memory banks to demonstrate their knowledge of worthless information. In addition, players face less mentally demanding mini-games that challenge reflexes and hand-eye coordination. In Rodeo, players try to keep Cartman on a mechanical bull for the duration. Bad Kitty is an unabashed Donkey Kong-style platform game. Players, as Kitty, avoid Cartman's angry barrage of bouncing balls, and jump over obstacles on a quest to consume his pot pies. South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker came up with new tastelessly hilarious sound bites for the game, and Isaac Hayes, the voice of Chef, contributed his smooth voice as the game's star host. No surprise to anyone that this game carries a Mature rating, so it's probably best to leave it in the box during Johnny's 10th birthday party. But South Park fans are sure to fall in swee-e-et luv with this game. --Eric Twelker | |

Fun for a party or a laugh. Dec 27, 1999 I got this game as a gag for Christmas. I don't own the first one so I cannot compare the two. Not a game for kids! But my wife and her sister (and I) enjoy the questions and the mini-games. However, as another reviewer wrote, there are not enough questions in the game. I suppose that's why chef does not give the answers. I also don't like how the same contestant may get the bonus questions whether they're winning or losing. The mini-games are a hoot though. I wish they would have a mode to allow play against computer-kids (in the event, such as we are in, that you only have 2 controllers). A definite must for a party though. It's a lot of laughs, if you can stand the language.

Better than you think. Jul 26, 2003
By Jack Simons This game is fairly good. I am going to write this review in Pros and Cons formation.Pros: Contains real voices from Trey Parker, Matt Stone, and the infamous Isaac Hayes. Doesn't take too long to load. (WHAT OTHERS DON'T THINK) Very funny mini games! (BAD KITTY) Cons: Gets some-what boring after a while. Questions can be repeated during extended play. Graphics look computer-drawn. Overall, the game is pretty good, but only for South Park fans. It may be entertaining, but it has earned an M rating. Don't leave the package aroung children. Thanks.

Maybe on another system.... Dec 18, 1999 I must say, this game is a great idea. The games are fun and everything is in the traditional South Park mayhem, mixed with retro-arcade games like Asteroids. Beware of the Playstation version! The loading time makes the game almost unplayable.

YOU HAVE TO LOVE SOUTH PARK TO ENJOY THIS GAME Dec 16, 1999 If you don't love South Park you will not like this game! If you love South Park you will like this game. The trivia questions are sometimes hard. The games are kind of lame but funny and remind me of the old atari games. The characters talk like they do in the show and a lot of the questions are about the show. If you dont watch South Park dont buy this game you probably wont find the humor in it.

Could Be Better Dec 16, 1999 Good idea, but somewhat disappointing...There aren't enough questions per round, if you get a question wrong, chef does not tell you the correct answer, if you play twice in a row, you get repeat questions. But the mini games are lots of fun - some (if not all) are take-offs of other classic video games; although some are pretty difficult.
