| | Description | In clubs and theatres across the country, Lisa Lampanelli calls audience members colored, queer, bald, fat, and old. Do they get offended? Angry? No! They laugh uncontrollably and demand to know when she'll be back in town. After watching this hour-long concert--filmed live at Rascal's Comedy Club in West Orange, New Jersey--you'll see why! A cross between Don Rickles, Archie Bunker, and a vial of estrogen, Lisa lives up to her three favorite F-words: "Fierce, Funny, and Fearless"! She's got a bawdy personality, all-out honesty, and the insult comic's most essential quality--undeniable likeability. All this adds up to one important 4-letter word: STAR. | |

lampanelli now ranks as my favorite comedian! she is stark raving, in your face funny! she jokes so openly about stereotypes, taking them to absurd degrees that i can't help but be bent over in stitches! she is hilarious, raucous and spontaneous. what i like most is that in all of her joking she is able to convey that she does not believe one bit of her stereotyping. she is the best! i can't remember when i've laughed so hard! her live performance is over the top as well! thanks lisa!

Lisa is hilarious and I love that she pushes those racial buttons. If you can't laugh at something sometimes, then you probably shouldn't be watching tv. However, if you want to own this DVD, forget about it. It's the exact same skit as her "Take it Like a Man" DVD, but less quality so I recommend just buying that one. Frankly, I'm a little disappointed that she would make two DVD's of the exact same show and sell tham as separate labels. I fell somewhat like the wool was pulled over my eyes.

Some very funny lines Feb 08, 2005
By Volunteer of America Lisa Lampanelli is QUITE amusing! She's foul-mouthed, hard-nosed, and unsparing, as well as all-encompassing, in her attacks. There are some hilarious lines, and a lot of it is very original. It's obnoxious to the extreme, but doesn't come off mean spirited.
I don't really understand the problem the previous reviewer has with the program; sounds like she failed to read the product description, always a good idea before ordering a video one hasn't seen.

VERY POOR QUALITY AUDIO and VISUAL Apr 20, 2006

I can not believe that a company can actually release this show without feeling ashamed about the terrible sound and bad camerawork. This recording looks and sounds like it was pirated! The sound was recorded via the camera's mike - in other words you hear the highpitched semi-drunk laughter and shrieks of girls sitting close to the camera FIRST , and then in the "background" you hear miss Lampanelli's voice. Barely. She often disappears into the darkness of the outer spotlight regions or from view of the static camera. A Very amateurish production and I have a good mind to ask for my money back. I saw the later show out on DVD "Take it like a Man" FIRST, and that release's technical aspects are much better. The contents of Miss Lampanelli's show, I'm sad to say , is roughly a clone of this one. I suppose they wanted to release something more professional after this disaster came out. Her act hasnt changed at all, so give this one a miss and buy the other release, it's really funny, but like Joan Rivers, it seems like she does the same material over and over, so once you've seen one show, you might have seen her career.

Poor Quality Feb 27, 2007

I agree with others here. This is my first purchase of Lisa Lampanelli's DVD and this one's quality is beyond poor. The sound was terrible, you had to turn it up in some places and down in others. The picture quality was also terrible. Sometimes you couldn't even see her and the cameramen's shots were inexperienced, at best. I love Lisa Lampanelli and think she is hilarous, but will definitely try another of her DVD's for better quality all around. I too thought once I started watching it that it was a boot leg copy and thought I had been duped. After reading these reviews, I see that others received the same low quality that I did.
