The Best Apr 24, 2012
By LucyEliza Paul F. Tompkins is a national treasure and I am honored to have the privilege of purchasing this very funny comedy special. Anything that emerges from his brain is worth purchasing; for even many times more than this tiny price.

PFT told me to write this Sep 21, 2012
By Jane Nezvanova This DVD is fun and silly. This guy's not trying to hurt no one. Give it a viewing and if you don't like it, may we part ways as friends.
P.S. - CAKE BOSS!

It's so great, so get this you monster Apr 30, 2012
By Also_a_Stranger This is so well done. Paul, is in amazing, hilarious form. If you aren't a fan yet, this special will make you one.
Tremendous comedy value for the price. The special was longer than I was expecting it to be, in the best way. It's that feeling of being with your funniest friend and you say "I feel like I've been laughing forever."
The "Special Features" are hilarious as well and not at all "tacked on". The encore especially is evidence of how naturally funny Paul is.
If you are a fan of him from the Pod F. Tompkast, Comedy Bang Bang, Doug Loves Movies, The Best Show on WFMU, then what am I saying? You already know and should have bought this.
Is it clear that a Paul F. Tompkins fan wrote this? Good, but you should be too. I don't intend that in a mean way. He's just really great, smart and funny and it would be a shame if you missed out.
Sincerest best to you stranger! Also_a_Stranger

Comedy that's passionate Jun 27, 2012

Paul F. Tompkins is one of the strongest comedians of our day. I've always said the best comedians are the ones who know how to get personal, and Tompkins bases his entire stand-up act around stories from his life, particularly around mistakes and other tales of desperation. If you only saw this special when it aired on Comedy Central, GET THIS DVD! Not only is it TWICE as long as when it aired, but it includes a 10-minute encore with Eban Schletter on piano (the encore is almost entirely improvised, as is one of Tompkins' specialties) and an excellent behind-the-scenes peak at the making of Tompkins' excellent podcast, the Pod F. Tompkast. If you're an enthusiast for comedy, this is a must-have.

Let's Call it: "Laboring Above the Rest" May 15, 2012
By David Young Paul F. Tompkins! What more can you say? Much more, actually. His standard of wit, wonder, writ, and rambling forego even the most keen sense of humour. He is commanding. This delicious laughcicle is "nothing more" than what you'd expect from the man himself, until it is! This is a must see! Continue to read this no longer! Your mind has been made up. Race to the nearest online retailer and make this a day like no other, filled with exceptional purchases. Hurry! Before it is too late!
