4Charlie got off easy  May 04, 2012 By MikeAngelo
This roast was not as hard hitting as past roasts (think Pam Anderson's, Flava Flay's, and Will Shatner's). That's surprising considering all the material Charlie provided comics up to that point, including the nastiest public meltdown since Michael Richards. That's not to say the roast was bad, just a bit softer by comparison. Lisa Lampanelli and Whitney Cummings were absent while newcomers Amy Schumer and Anthony Jeselnik got their chances to shine. Jeselnik's slow motion delivery takes some getting used to, but it's quite unique. Schumer is a ballsy comedienne who can rip you a new one while maintaining the looks and demeanor of a Forever 21 sales associate. Notable appearances by non comedians included Kate Walsh, star of ABC's Private Practice. Kate actually had one of the best performances and showed off her accurate Mike Tyson impression. Mike Tyson was definitely on something. His outbursts were generally funny, but often bordered on irritating. The comics were quick to put him in his place whenever his antics were about to get out of hand. We also got to see Patrice O'Neal's final TV appearance. He will be missed. Will Shatner can still bring it. Jon Lovitz and Steve-O were...well...they were there. Overall, it was a decent roast. Those who were expecting wickedly brutal onslaughts might be a tad disappointed, but this roast is still a must-see for any fan of Comedy Central entertainment.

4Good Roast overall  Jun 23, 2012 By Jack D. Lowry
Many people were not impress with the roast of Charlie Sheen. I actually personally enjoy this roast, the comedians had lots to work with and made sure to use every good line they could come up with. Plus some of the jokes were actually funny and great one liners from a few of the comdians. I also enjoy the ending when Sheen is talking to the people "no more winning, because I've already won."
Those who bad mouth this roast sure could have more bonus features, but the comedians were funny and video at beginning was very funny.
So if you want to watch something with some good laughs, great one liners, and a great preshow on the red carpet then pick this dvd up and sit back and enjoy some good laughs at the expense of Charlie Sheen.
