| | Description | Profane, vulgar and obscenely funny, Louis C.K. tells it like it is... whether you like or not! Cutting loose on such tactless topics as male bodily fluids, the joys of being white, the difference between women and girls and more, Louis C.K. is at his risk-taking best: fearless, honest and totally outrageous! | |

A Profane Genius Feb 03, 2009
By E. Chris Caggiano Louis CK is a wonder to watch or listen to. At first it seems as though he's offering up your standard observational humor, but upon closer inspection, he's really doing something far more insidious and satisfying. You're never quite sure whether he actually believes, for example, the horrible things he says about his wife and kids, and that's part of the fun. Is this a put-on, or is he really this bitter and nasty? Is this a send-up or a confession? Apart from the seemingly honest material and extraordinarily profane language, there's the spot-on delivery that seems both rehearsed and extemporized at the same time. One of the finest comedians of this or any time.

One of the Best Comedy Albums in a long time Jan 01, 2009
By D. McArthur I'm an avid collector of comedy albums, and often prefer comedy to music. I haven't seen any of Louis's stand up before, but when i saw this album i had to get it, and i wasn't dissappointed. I laughed non stop. I listened to it 3 times through the first day i got it. His stories are hilarious and entertaining. Well worth the money.

I Heart Louis C.K. Dec 16, 2009
By Motea This is one of the funniest standup acts I've ever seen--and I've seen a good amount! It seems Louis C.K. gets better with age, b/c I've seen One Night Stand, one of his old ones, and it's not good at all, in my opinion. It's clear that over the years his material has gotten darker, more creative, and definitely funnier. I think Louis C.K. is a demented genius, and his work is original and brave!

All hail King Louis Jan 25, 2009
By Art Vandelay I had the pleasure of seeing Louis live in Portland, some of the material on this album was present, and so very worth hearing again. I laughed until I cried and my ribs hurt the next day. Louis takes material that is normally over done and banal (my wife, my kids) and turns it into something so horrific, you can only laugh.
Not for the easily offended or faint of hear- Carrot Top fans (whoever you are) stay away, this guys' the real deal and stands tall on the list of great, risk-taking comics such as Bill Hicks, Doug Stanhope, and Patton Oswalt.
Down with mediocre hacks!

DON'T MISS the bonus tracks Jan 14, 2009
By R. Delaney I saw this tour live and I've seen the DVD too. Louis is as brilliant as ever. But the "Sweatpants & Vodka" bonus track on this CD made me piss on myself. In it he talks about the nightmare that is American health insurance and it's so funny and horrible I almost crashed my car listening to it.
