The original hitman of paintball returns to reclaim his rightful crown in the one comedy that proves you're never too old for a killer comeback. Everyone knows that the name Bobby Dukes (Rob Corddry) is synonymous with the game of paintball, and when the teenaged Dukes led his team, the River Rats, to three consecutive wins at the East Coast's legendary Hudson Valley Paintball Classic, it appeared as if the game was finally about to break big due in no small part to Dukes' dead-eye aim and easygoing charisma. It was that fateful attempt at a fourth win that ultimately derailed Dukes' career as a triggerman, though, and after being shot during one of his signature moves, the three-time champion committed one of the most heinous acts in all of paintball -- wiping. Spotted by a keen-eyed referee and subsequently ejected for his attempts to cover up the telltale stain, Dukes' was devastated to become the laughing stock of the paintball community. Now, the time has come to let go of the past and lay claim to the future, and though no self-respecting paintball player would be caught stained on the team of a man who once wiped, Dukes is soon joined by the very same referee who exposed his deceitful transgression in assembling a ragtag team of underdogs and once again laying claim to the coveted Hudson Valley Paintball Classic title. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

Amazing
I have been watching this movie almost weekly since it came out - there is so much brillant stuff going on and the deleted scenes are incredible - makes me wish there was a director's cut that is like 3 hours long...

Out of nowhere!!!
I saw this film at its theatrical NYC release a few months ago. I didn't know what to expect. Rob Corddry is wonderful in this film. Totally different from his Daily Show persona... and his supporting cast is totally insane! Corddry plays the only sane guy in the movie :)

Could be the greatest indy comedy ever
Saw this first at the Wodostock Film Festival, then again at the Two Boots theater in NYC. This movie will surely be a classic, along the lines of Wet Hot American Summer and the Britney Spears Movie. One of the greatest movies I've ever seen in my entire life!

The Heavens Have Parted...
It is a tragedy that it took two years for this independent cinematic masterpiece to find distribution. The wait has been worth it! I first saw this film in one of it's first screenings at the 2004 Lake Placid Film Festival. I laughed so hard, I had no choice but to watch it three more times that weekend (with the bonus of getting to be there for a Q A session with the cast and production team!) It won the "audience favorite" award by a landslide. Don't miss out on this incredible opportunity to own a true cult classic that will keep your sides splitting for years to come!

Second Place is first place for losers!
The Oxford Film Festival loved this film so much in 2004, we brought the filmmakers back for an encore screening in 2005. It is the gold standard by which we judge all of our comedies, and we may never find "the next Blackballed" for future festivals. But at least now all my friends who missed the show in 2004 and 2005 can finally see what all the fuss was about.

Hi-larious!!!
You will laugh your ass off and have a new slew of one-liners to quote - a must see for anyone really into comedies...

FUNNIEST MOVIE OUT THERE!
If you liked movies like Anchorman, Old School, or Best In Show then you MUST BUY this movie! You will laugh your ass off and much like Napolean Dynomite, this movie will be referenced for years!! Also, you can tell that the production company did a great job of producing this movie...very high quality! THIS ONE IS FOR THE HISTORY BOOKS! "Because I can afford it!"

Excellent movie
I very much liked the movie. DVD buyers beware, the movie is in letterbox format instead of anamorphic widescreen. Killed the picture quality on my front projection system.

Sheer comic genius
"Blackballed" is sheer comic genius. It's often compared to Christopher Guest's mockumentaries (i.e., "A Mighty Wind," "Waiting for Guffman," etc.), but "Blackballed" operated on a virtually nonexistent budget with a mostly unknown cast. Frankly, "Blackballed" is better, more authentic and much, much funnier. The manically aggressive Eddie is priceless, as is Lenny Pear, a sensitive soul with more heart than skills and the best crooked-teeth smile in the business. Rob Corddry anchors the story with his good-natured, zen-like patience and selflessness, and the predictably happy ending is not nearly as predictable as you might expect. This one is an unheralded classic which I would rank up there with "This is Spinal Tap." High praise, I know, but "Blackballed" earns it.

Finally it is available
I saw this movie at the Honolulu International Film Festival and it was by far the hit of the week. I'm psyched this movie is finally available in time for the holidays. A must see!
